Fast, powerful and flexible audio measurement
The SoundCheck®system from Listen includes everything you need to perform audio measurements on a wide range of devices – the software, the audio interface, other test interfaces and accessories, and test sequences. The system is centered around the SoundCheck software. This powerful package controls and communicates with the measurement hardware, and includes all the stimuli, algorithms and analysis functionality needed to develop and run virtually any electroacoustic or audio electronic test. It is paired with hardware ranging from a simple, all-in one audio test box to sophisticated discrete components for a complete test system. In addition to Listen hardware, a range of 3rd party products and test accessories are fully supported within SoundCheck. The modular software and many hardware options enable a customized solution to be configured for your specific test requirements and budget. Annual software updates ensure that the system evolves to keep pace with evolving test methods and requirements, and both software and hardware can be expanded at any time to meet future testing needs.

In 1965, RTW was founded as a specialist service provider for audio equipment. During the following years, the company became a dedicated audio-systems developer and a key vendor of professional broadcast and audio-metering equipment. Andreas Tweitmann took over RTW in 2007 and is now CEO of the company.

The TouchMonitor range truly marks a paradigm shift in visual audio monitoring and loudness metering. The TM7 and TM9 units are the essence of many years of experience. They combine maximum flexibility and modularity with an intuitive touch-enabled surface and multichannel signal analysis. The new ergonomic TouchMonitor concept is touchscreen-based and offers unprecedented freedom in arranging and scaling user-interface controls. Today, virtually all major mixing-console vendors implement OEM versions of the TM7 or TM9 on their products. And the TM3 opens new markets for RTW: This attractively priced entry-level product featuring a 4.3″ capacitive touchscreen with pro-grade loudness, true peak, and PPM metering functions transfers the TouchMonitor concept into a more compact metering solution for journalist cubicles, edit suits, and small control rooms.

Continuous Loudness Control (CLC) is a Masterclass PlugIn featuring a unique visualization and patented loudness processing algorithm developed together with the IRT as a plug-in and stand-alone software. The amazing look-ahead low latency algorithm used in the CLC allows dynamic loudness processing of unknown live audio and audio files to a given loudness value with or without changing the original Loudness Range and protects to an adjustable True Peak value. CLC further improves the quality of loudness processing with various enhancements like batch processing of audio files, extended audio format support, (e. g. MXF) an expert mode for very special material, Mmax and Smax limiting, report functions, and optimized presets for e. g. streaming audio.

Broadcasters are kept in mind, as they receive many different types of audio files (e. g. MXF) and have to prepare them for transmission. Therefore, CLC‘s batch mode offers automated and unattended loudness analysis and processing of audio files. Incoming audio files from different sources are processed according to predefined settings for e. g. different genres; the output is stored in the target folder together with optional report files. Optimized presets and the Expert mode allow to better match requirements for different types of programs and distribution channel sure, the full-wide image can be pretty big. But sometimes the image is worth it.
